Through 1846, Monterey has the epicenter of culture and government in California. Not only was it the original capital of Alta California, it lead the way in education, theater arts, publicly-funded schools, printed newspapers, and more. It was home to the most significant port on the West Coast and its abundant fishing industry remained active into the 1950s.
We can still see the remnants of that bygone era in present-day attractions including the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf, California Roots Music and Arts Festival, and the annual Monterey Jazz Festival. There’s much to learn and enjoy just a few steps off your front door, or you can just sit back and relax enjoying the slow pace and relaxing vistas filtered through wind-swept trees.
You can be assured that all the latest finishes and gadgetry have been included in the build. That being said, we’ve been sure to keep in line with Monterey’s coastal look, so that while stylish, it blends in with the surrounding architecture.
You can thank the collaborative efforts of West Valley Ventures, the Monterey Design Center, and the Paul Davis Partnership for this beautiful addition to the Monterey scene.
For many, the beach is their place of sanctuary…and Monterey doesn’t disappoint. Whether enjoying the vast sandy beaches, ideal for swimming and surfing, or clambering over nearby stretches of rocky shoreline, you’ll be able to see an abundance of marine wildlife…you may even catch a whale migration if you’re lucky! Boasting the nation’s largest national marine sanctuary (larger than Yellowstone National Park!), the sanctuary contains extensive kelp forests and one of North America's largest underwater canyons and closest-to-shore deep ocean environments.
If you enjoy getting off the couch and engaging the world around you, you’re in the right place! Monterey offers a large selection of walking and bike trails that wrap through the city and dance along the coast. Just out your front door is a broad selection of restaurants, and as you’d expect, seafood is front and center. Let your mood determine your direction with top-rated eateries from the casual to fine dining, all within close proximity.
Did I hear someone say, shopping”? As with most “destination” locations, you’ll be able to satisfy your shopping urges with a cornucopia of quaint shops, upscale boutiques, art galleries, and more. No matter your mood, Monterey has plenty of alternatives to slake your thirst.
Here’s a very abbreviated list of some of the things Monterey offers to keep you amazed and entertained
With as desirable as the Monterey Coast is, finding street parking can present a problem…but not for you! With dedicated private covered parking, you’ll never have to “circle the block” looking for a space. Just open the front gate and pull into one of your assigned spots. Fast, easy, and secure.
Have an armful of groceries or an unwieldy package? Perhaps climbing stairs isn’t as easy as it used to be? No worries, you can take the safe and secure interior ADA-compliant lift (usable for any resident) to your floor and it’s just a few steps to your front door.
Included are handicapped parking and accessibility. This complex has been designed for everyone for today and ongoing into the future.
As you’d expect from a new construction of this quality, top-drawer appliances and fixtures have been specified.
Not only do you get to enjoy top-tier appliances, you have peace of mind knowing you're helping ease the strain on the energy grid and lowering your carbon footprint.
Rarely too hot or too cold, the Pacific Ocean moderates the weather in Monterey, coddling visitors and residents alike within a narrow get-out-and-do-it temperature range. Boasting a Mediterranean climate, there is a myriad of ways to get out and enjoy the atmosphere, rarely needing more than some sunblock or a sweater and light slicker. Stroll on the beach or hike up into the nearby hills, there’s always something for everyone year-round. With an average of 205 sunny days each year, you’ll enjoy the warm temperatures, quietude, and plenty of festivals to give you an excuse to get out and soak up the sun!
